"My 5 year old has been going to Cirkidz for 2 years and loves it. Her physical and social confidence has improved immensely. The Cirkidz instructors are excellent and patient dealing with all the different kids, and the approach is inclusive, uncompetitive, and fun." - Leonie, Tiddlerz Mum

Performance Program

Our Elite Performance Program, where the skies (and opportunities) await!

The South Australian Circus Centre has a structured Performance Program Divided into 5 tiers. Keen Beanz, Live Wirez, Tribe, Troupe and an independent artist program. Each tier focuses on developing different attributes of the young artist’s journey. Periodically children from the general circus classes are invited into the program based on technical skills, creativity, leadership and enthusiasm as well as natural aptitude.

These classes are arranged into groups of like-minded peers and each focuses on certain characteristics of developing young artists. Students are able to fast track their skill development, develop performance skills and begin to focus on their preferred specialities. Members of these classes are given optional, public performance opportunities at events including school fetes and community events. Artists are also supported to realise their own vision for their creative future. This may mean creating small companies or shows, or using the skills of visioning, planning and reflection in whatever career they want. Several or our graduates are travelling the world with companies like Gravity and Other Myths, Circa, Circus Oz as well as winning awards at fringe festivals around the country.

The next workshop audition for the elite performance program will be held in early April 2018 after the Fringe. If your child is interested in beginning their circus journey pathway, please call us on 8346 5735 to discuss.
